OUR GOAL WAS NOT TO SELL THE PRODUCT, BUT INSTEAD BRIGHTEN UP PEOPLE’S DAY, MUCH LIKE WHAT A TATTOO CAN DO FOR US. OVER THE COURSE OF 2 DAYS, WE GAVE AWAY OVER 300 FLOWERS TO VISITORS THAT CAME BY. NO COSTS, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, ALL COMPLETELY FREE. IT’S SAFE TO SAY THAT IT WAS A HIT, HAVING COMPLETELY SOLD OUT ON BOTH DAYS IN UNDER 2 HOURS. YOU COULD SEE FLOWERS ALL OVER THE CONVENTION, AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.
THE TATTOO INDUSTRY IS SUCH A SMALL BUBBLE, AND IN MANY INSTANCES IT’S STEREOTYPICAL AND INTIMIDATING. WE WANTED TO CREATE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE IMPRESSION. TO DO SOMETHING THAT WOULD PUT A SMILE ON EVERYONE’S FACES, AND CREATE A SENSE OF COMMUNITY LIKE NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN AT A PLACE LIKE THIS BEFORE. WE THINK WE DID QUITE WELL.
