What do I do in the first 24 hours of my fresh tattoo?

The first 24 hours you will notice your tattoo may release a plasma liquid. Please don’t worry, this is the white blood cells repairing the open skin. This is natural, and it’s essential that you touch the tattoo as little as possible, especially during the first 24 hours. Please listen to your artist on their recommendation of the first 24 hours, as depending on size and area, this information may change.

Can I workout after getting a tattoo?

Although not recommended, a healthy body and a healthy mind is essential. Light exercise can be performed, but if at any point you feel your tattoo is being irritated in any way, we highly advise you to stop. Sweat and excursion can cause irritation to the skin, risking infection.

What can I do to help the healing process of my fresh tattoo other than using KHO aftercare products?

We recommend staying hydrated, eating foods that are high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and natural oils, as well as avoiding smoking, the consumption of alcohol, or excessive exercise.

How many times a day should I wash my tattoo and apply KHO Aftercare Solutions?

For best results and maximum comfort, wash and apply Aftercare to your tattoo twice a day; once in the morning, and once in the evening.

What order should I use my products in?

First, whilst watching your tattoo with fresh water, apply your Aftercare Wash. Once lightly dried, apply the Aftercare Cream to hydrate and moisturise the affected area. Please only apply a thin application.

Will the KHO Aftercare Cream prevent my tattoo from itching?

Although not completely, our cream has been engineered to thoroughly soothe and hydrate your skin. This will decrease the feeling of itching, and make for a more comfortable healing process.

Can I expose my fresh tattoo to sunlight?

Excessive exposure to sunlight will cause your tattoo to fade, especially during the healing process. It’s essential to keep it out of sunlight.

How long will my order take to come?

We aim to ship out all our orders 1-2 days after purchase. This means, location dependant, you should receive your order within no more than 4 working days.

Are your products okay to use on sensitive skin?

Our products are all tried and tested, made non fragranced to ensure they are suitable for all skin types and are hypoallergenic.

How will I know when my tattoo is fully healed?

A healthy, happy, and healed tattoo is when all redness, itching, irritation, and flaking has subsided and you are left with smooth skin and a vibrant tattoo.

How do I correctly wash my fresh tattoo?

To ensure a full cleanse, we recommend thoroughly, but gently, applying the KHO cleanser. Let the water softly remove all excess cleanser until fully clean.

How do I dry my fresh tattoo?

To dry correctly, in the most hygienic fashion, we recommend dabbing the affected area with a clean, thick tissue and not your towel, until dry.

How long should I use the aftercare and wash for?

We recommend using our wash and cream for a minimum of 14 days after receiving your tattoo. Depending on your skin type, you may be required to use it for up to 7 more days until your tattoo is fully healed.

Are your products cruelty & vegan free?

* Images that clearly show the progress of healing at various stages, with at least 25% of the healing process documented.


3. Discretion of Refund:
* Refunds will be granted at our sole discretion. We will assess whether the product’s performance did not meet expectations due to issues with the product itself or due to factors unrelated to our product, such as the quality of work or conditions provided by the consumer’s tattoo artist.
* If it is determined that the product was used correctly but failed due to external factors (e.g., improper tattoo care or artist’s work not meeting industry standards), a refund may not be granted.


4. Exclusions:
* Shipping costs are non-refundable.
* Claims that do not include the required evidence, or that are submitted outside of the product’s usage guidelines, will not be eligible for a refund.
